I began my career in 1982 on a trainee programme with Commercial Union, the insurer who said “they wouldn’t make a drama out of a crisis”. Once through a two year period of training I secured a position in the Claims Department in Belfast and did my utmost to prove to our policyholders that what the advertisement said was true! In 1986 I was promoted and became an Agency Inspector in the Manchester office and after three years of calling with Insurance Brokers I decided it was time to take the plunge myself and made the move to Insurance Broking in 1989 and joined Kerr Henderson in 1995.

As the Managing Director of Kerr Henderson (General Insurance Services) Limited I manage the business on a daily basis as well as looking after our larger commercial lines clients and a number of personal lines clients. I take great satisfaction from solving problems and enjoy explaining the complexities of insurance as well as breaking the myths that still exist in our industry.

Outside the office I enjoy socialising and travelling as well as spending time practising my golf and tennis game – those who know me would say that I need a lot more practice!

Bruce joined Kerr Henderson in 2015 having worked in various roles for insurance companies where he accumulated experience before becoming an independent financial adviser in 2013.

With over 17 years' experience in financial services, 4 of which accumulated in South Africa Bruce provides advice on pensions and investments.

Daniel is a Consultant who provides financial advice to private and corporate clients on all aspects of their needs including pensions, investments, protection, and tax planning.

He holds the Diploma in Financial Planning including advanced pension qualifications and is a member of both the Personal Finance Society and Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.

Jason is responsible for leading the Kerr Henderson Workplace Pension and Financial Planning teams. A core part of his role is developing our business strategy to ensure we continue to deliver a market leading, independent, value for money service to our clients.

Jason has over 20 years’ experience in financial services. He has previously run his own business and worked for one of the world’s largest professional services companies. He specialises in providing advice to corporate clients in respect of:

- workplace pension obligations
- structuring and maintaining a good pension/benefit governance framework and
- how to create good corporate and people outcomes by harnessing the power of workplace pensions and employee benefits

John is CEO of the Group and Managing Director of Kerr Henderson (Financial Services) Limited.  He's also the director in charge of our joint venture company Incorporate Benefits LLP which provides leading edge solutions in the Employee Healthcare and Corporate Health & Wellbeing arena.

With over 20 years' experience in financial services and general insurance, John specialises in insured group protection contracts and corporate health and wellbeing arrangements as well placing pension trustee liability policies and other specialist general insurance products.

Mark has recently joined the Private Client Team as a senior consultant.

He has been involved in Financial Services for over 32 years and is a Chartered Financial Planner. Mark also has an Honours degree in Economics.

Nikki is a private client adviser providing all aspects of financial advice to mainly individual clients. She has over 20 years experience advising clients and some 25 years’ experience in the financial services industry. She is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.

Nikki joined Kerr Henderson (Financial Services) Ltd in 2002 and was appointed Director in 2021.

Stephen is a Senior Consultant and Chartered Financial Planner within our Private Client Team.

He works closely with family-owned businesses, entrepreneurs, and medical professionals, to help them plan for the future with confidence and clarity.

Stephen is Fellow and committee member of the Personal Finance Society and is also member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment with whom he is in the process of completing the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) qualification.

Stephen is a private client tax adviser specialising in Investments, Pensions, Trusts, Estates and Inheritance Tax, providing advice to clients within the personal financial services department.

Stephen has over 20 years' experience advising clients, both on tax planning and financial planning.

Tommy provides financial and taxation advice to the individual and to medium sized private businesses.

He specialises in formulating individual strategies to meet clients’ objectives during their working lives and in retirement. Tommy commenced his career in Sun Alliance as a professional trainee in 1974 and has a wealth of experience as an independent financial adviser since 1981. His main areas of specialism are tax efficient personal investment, investment within SIPPs and SSAS, personal and business protection, planning retirement strategies, Inheritance Tax planning as well as analysing and reviewing existing portfolios.
