Our Story So Far

1962 – Company Founded

Kerr Henderson’s journey began as Sumner & McMillen Ltd. in 1962, founded with the vision of delivering expert financial services to meet the growing needs of individuals and businesses.

1976 – Move to College Gardens, Belfast

In 1976, the company relocated to new premises at College Gardens, Belfast, marking a new chapter in its growth and commitment to serving clients with greater capacity and focus.

1994 – Name Change to Kerr Henderson

In 1994, the company rebranded to Kerr Henderson (Financial Services) Ltd and simultaneously established Kerr Henderson (GIS) Ltd, marking the expansion of its services to include additional expertise in geographic information systems.

1998 – Expansion with Kerr Henderson (Consultants and Actuaries) Ltd

In 1998, the firm expanded further, establishing Kerr Henderson (Consultants and Actuaries) Ltd, formerly known as KHBW, allowing us to offer comprehensive actuarial and consultancy services. KHCA was subsequently sold to Deloitte in November 2020 to allow KHFS to focus on growing its private client, Workplace DC consulting and employee benefit business

2012 – Opening of London Office

In 2012, Kerr Henderson expanded its reach with the opening of our London office, offering our expertise to clients across the UK.

2023 – New Belfast Office Location

In 2023, our Belfast office relocated to 16 Wellington Park, providing a modern, spacious environment for our growing team and reinforcing our commitment to offering high-quality financial services.

2024 – Merger with Ashtree Financial Services

In 2024, Kerr Henderson embarked on a new chapter by partnering with Ashtree Financial Services, adding a Newry office to our expanding presence. This collaboration introduced a skilled team of professionals, allowing us to broaden our capabilities and scale our operations throughout the UK.
